It's back! With the goal of bringing a little cheer to patients in the hospital during the holiday season, the deviantART Holiday Card Project connects deviants from around the world and applies their tremendous artistic abilities in designing and creating uplifting holiday cards.
In past years, the Project has received more than 5,000 cards sent in by more than 1,000 deviants from 50 different countries/political regions. Cards were then divvied up and distributed in-person by deviantART members to local Los Angeles, CA hospitals, with additional cards given to various hospitals in the U.S. and abroad for hospital staff members to hand out

In this season of deceits deceptions & witcheries
I am wary of my following message not being received with the full gravity it deserves. It is not my intention to unduly alarm the deviantART community, but... TheLaurenVerse (https://www.deviantart.com/thelaurenverse) is at this time unaccounted for. All attempts on our part to contact her have failed. It is my hope that she has simply taken a much deserved unscheduled pre-Halloween “vacation” and will be back in online communication soon.

A Pop Culture Interpretation of The Supernatural
Every culture around the world created gods and other mythical beings by mixing and matching fanged and taloned animal parts—e.g., enormous eagle heads on lions’ bodies—human beings have always seemed to need to believe there are powerful and usually quite vengeful supernatural beings lurking just beyond the candlelight.

fyi-001: Your fydbac character no longer being pla
Hello,
I was asked a question concerning how one may handle a characo if it was not being played with anymore. I replied, yet never got a response. But, I thought the solution was a good idea. So if you have one of my adopted hatchling or characo, and you no longer play with the design, but don't want to leave it just sitting around collecting dust, read below.

You are prohibited from re-selling the character(s) designed by Jainai Jeffries/fydbac. If found out, legal action may be taken.
There is one acceptable way to put the character to use if you no longer wish to play with
Wire wrapping is exactly what it sounds like: wrapping things in wire. Unlike a lot of jewellery making, wire wrapping does not typically use any torches, solders, chemicals or glues to join the pieces. The wire is wrapped around itself and the accents to create beautiful, unique pieces.
The beauty of this technique is that it is difficult to do industrially. Most wire wrapping is hand made by individuals with a lot of patience and love for the craft.
The art was first practised by the Ancient Egyptians and continues to be a beloved craft today. Here are a bunch of deviants who use this technique to craft some truly amazing pieces.

What does 'Character Design' mean?
The character design is the process which comes after the characterisation and consists in defining the character through his/her physical appearance.
We need to consider a character as a little fictional creature, human or not, that aims to please its creator and the public as well.
While the basic characterization of this fictional creature (his tastes, his fears, his behaviors) may take a little mental effort, as it is a sort of list of emotions, facts and feelings that come and go in the life of a character, the process of visual realization of this creature may not be
Hi everyone
When I was 22 years old, I had dreamed of studying illustration in some good college in USA. I had abandoned the dream because it is impossible for my parents to pay for a super-expensive tuition free and a high cost of living is a big punch in the stomach. How could Asian middle family afford that? like my country, Thailand.....30 baht for 1 US dollar. That is a true story and what we can do is to accept defeat. Two years later "Torch passed, new path illuminated" I have walked on a new path and left that dream behind. I realize life is hard and chasing your dream is harder. It is waiting for you on a dangerous mountain pea

The Pied Piper
In the tale of the Pied Piper, we have a village overrun with rats. A man arrives dressed in clothes of pied (a patchwork of colors) and offers to rid the town of the vermin. The villagers agree to pay a vast sum of money if the piper can do it – and he does. He plays music on his pipe which draws all the rats
